THE ORIGIN OF THIS VISUAL IDENTITY
Many years ago, sometime between 2009 and 2010, I had a dream. Even after all this time, I still remember it with remarkable clarity, as if it had happened recently.
In that dream, I saw an opening in the sky. From within that opening came an extremely powerful light, and from that light, beings of fire began to emerge. They looked like eagles, but they were not exactly eagles. Because I could never precisely describe what I saw, these beings came to be represented as phoenixes in the artwork used on the covers of my books.
Then I heard a very powerful voice, like thunder, saying:
“Beloved son, it was I who chose you.”
After that, I saw a coin coming out of the opening in the sky. On the coin was the image of a face that appeared to me to be the face of an elderly man. It was while I was looking at that coin that I woke up.
When I awoke, the image remained deeply engraved in my mind. Even after so many years, I can still remember it with great clarity.
For the covers of my books, I chose to replace the elderly man’s face with a world map, representing the missionary calling to the nations. The opening in the sky, the light, the beings of fire, and the central symbol remain recurring elements of this visual identity.
This artistic adaptation does not change the essence of the dream. On the covers of my books, it represents a memory that I have carried with me since that night and the missionary purpose that I seek to express through my work..
